Donofrio wins board seat along with Johnson, Schreiner

South-Western City Schools to maintain 50% reduction in fees for 2021-22 school year
As he has for the past three years, Donofrio proposed eliminating the pay-to-participate portion of the fee schedule. "The pay-to-participate fees pose an unnecessary burden on students and families in low-income areas," he said. "The district has enjoyed great fiscal strength for well over a decade now, and other sources of income will more than offset the less than $500,000 generated by the participation fees."

“We also will be having a reunion of those that have worked at the fire department throughout the 75 years,” said David Donofrio of the Prairie Township Firefighter’s Association. “This includes volunteer firefighters, dispatches, first responders and township officials.”
The association recently released a commemorative coin celebrating the anniversary of the fire department. The coins cost $10 and can be purchased via the firefighter’s association or at the fish fry.

According to the projections in the forecast, the district’s revenue will be $265.6 million in 2022, $275.8 million in 2023, $279.5 million in 2024, $282 million in 2025 and $286.8 million in 2026.
In light of the news that the district’s revenue is projected to be eclipsed by its expenditures soon, board member David Donofrio asked whether that meant the district will be looking to place a levy on the ballot in the future.
Victory Fund
Washington, DC – Today LGBTQ Victory Fund, the only national organisation dedicated to electing LGBTQ leaders to public office, endorsed 15 LGBTQ candidates for 2021 races. Among the endorsees is David Donofrio.
